I’m taking up a new craft. I’d been interested in jewelry making but had never really done anything with it. Well, today I got a kit at Michaels craft store and decided to try my hand at it. The only problem was, there were no instructions on how to make anything. So I got on the internet and went to about.com. I figured that was the best place to start, and I was right. I got simple instructions to make a basic pair of earrings and now I have a pair of handmade earrings. They aren’t the best or the prettiest earrings, but they were made by me and I’m happy with that.

If I get going and get good enough at it, I might add some of my jewelry to my Etsy shop, but I’m not sure yet. I mean, I don’t want to be doing stuff that is like everyone else’s stuff, but I also would like to be able to sell the things I make as well. Catch-22 anyone? LOL

I took the liberty of obtaining a few new tunes today to round out my digital music collection, and frankly, I’ve been bopping and jamming to them all day long. I acquired a few Britney Spears songs, Lady Gaga’s “Just Dance,” Beyonce’s “Single Ladies,” and a few others as well.

One of them also happens to be the next single from Christina Aguilera called “Dynamite.” While LaShawn liked the song quite a bit, I’m not so sure that I like it. It’s quite a bit different, to me at least, from her other songs and I’m just not into it.

However, I was highly impressed with the Britney songs I got. The only two I can say I didn’t care too much for were “Blur” and “Lace and Leather.” I wasn’t too fond of them, but I did like “Kill the Lights” and “Circus” a lot. There were a couple of others I liked pretty well too, but I can’t for the life of me remember the names of them and don’t feel like looking them up right now.

Of course, having my iTunes on shuffle, I get quite the variety, from Motley Crue , to Godsmack , to Evanescence, to Britney, Jordin Sparks, and Carrie Underwood. So I listen to a bit of everything. I’m a music lover at heart.
