Now normally I wouldn’t put stuff behind a cut but in a few minutes here, I’m about to say something that some people may not want to read. LOL First I’ll tell you about my day.
I got to work, picked up my check, cashed it, went to pay a bill and they weren’t there for me to pay it. I couldn’t wait because I had to go to work, but they know if I don’t come in today it’s because I had to go to work before I got the chance to pay them and they’re cool with that. So then I get back to work, get myself a sandwich and a muffin out of the machine and get my money right back because the machine is whacked as usual. I get a Diet Pepsi and head for my desk.
Someone is sitting at my desk. Why? Because our training bay doesn’t have enough seats for everyone and so they put people in my bay. Because I don’t start until 10, they thought my spot was open for the day and put someone there. I was nice and sat somewhere else for the day. But it still irked me.
So then at lunch I check PayPal. Nobody had paid me yet. Not cool. One finally paid, the other didn’t. ARGH. I don’t know when I’ll get the money owed me by the other place. So I wasn’t happy about that.
Then I go to Wal-Mart. I went to get cat and dog food and discovered that they only sell the bags of food I get in the ginormous 20lb size that I have nowhere to store now. So I spent $8.33 on a bag of dog food that I can only hope my dog will eat because he can’t have Dog Chow (something in it gives him seizures, I don’t know what.) At least this is a lamb & rice and shouldn’t cause any sort of problems for him. But still, I had to forgo some of the items on my shopping list because my babies come first.
Then my friends and I went to Perkins. I ordered a breakfast and lo and behold the waiter had to be reminded to bring my muffin and he didn’t bring it until AFTER I was done eating the rest of my meal. So yeah, I haven’t been having the best of days. The rest of this post is behind the cut. Guys are definitely not gonna wanna read this.
Ok, I can’t say you’ve never seen photos on my blog before. In fact, I can’t even say you’ve never seen photos that I have personally taken. However, most of the time the photos are posted because they show something in particular that I’m dying to show off. This time however, I am showing you a photo that I took just for the sake of being a shutter bug. And guess what? This photo was taken with my cell phone! It’s the only camera I have, so that’s what I used. I think it came out pretty darned good for being such a poor quality camera.
Our Skyline
This is the Sioux City Skyline as seen from my best friend’s house. I thought it looked really neat and decided to try and take a photo of it. As I said, it turned out pretty well for a cell phone camera picture.
I removed the Project Wonderful ad boxes from all three sites that I had them on, and I deleted the ad boxes. I made exactly $1.51 in the just over 4 months I had them, and all the bids on them were for $0.01 but paying me $0.00. That’s a bunch of bull. If they bid $0.01 they should at least be paying it. They weren’t. They were paying nothing. And to me, that’s a complete bunch of crap. I’m not getting anything out of it, and I finally decided it wasn’t worth it. I did the same with Shopping Ads and I did the same with Ad Sense. I have a couple of blogs floating around with Ad Sense on them still, and I have a couple of blogs with Shopping Ads on them still, but for the most part, I’m done with those kinds of things. My posts make me more money than those ads ever will.
To me, it’s pointless to allow people to “bid” on your ad space, allow them to place a bid of $0.01 and then clearly post that the ad is live on your ad space but is making you $0.00. Yeah. Tell me THAT is fair to ME. It’s NOT.
Well, this morning I got an email from Project Wonderful stating that my ad box on Bloody-Kisses.Org is not performing to standards and will be deactivated and delisted in 6 days if it is not improved. I find that hilarious since frankly, that’s the ad box that does the best. I see my other 2 ad boxes (on Charity-Lynn.com and Got-Wicca.org) at least twice a day without ads on them, while the Bloody-Kisses.Org box always has at least one or two ads on it. So yeah, I think Project Wonderful is messed up. Besides, THEY are the ones who are allowing people to post ads on MY SPACE for NOTHING! I tried to set a minimum price and they wouldn’t let me! Their rules don’t allow you to change anything on your ad box if you have current bids on it. My ad box always has current bids on it.
Of course it’s not going to make me money. Project Wonderful’s system allows it to be that way! Then they threaten ME and tell ME that I have to do something about it if I want to keep that ad box going. Come on Project Wonderful, pull your heads out of your butts and start realizing that sometimes, it’s your own rules and the way your service works, that causes ad boxes to not perform to YOUR standards. The majority of the money I’ve made on Project Wonderful has been from the very ad box that they want to deactivate and delist for non-performance. And again, I begin to wonder if “Project Wonderful” is so wonderful.
