It’s almost time for us to start getting our yards cleaned up. This year will be a bit on the strange side since all the snow melting is probably going to cause mushy, muddy yards for a good month or so. It’s already starting to melt and the yard is already starting to be a mess. We were thinking the other day of things we might be able to do with the yard, and we though about getting an outdoor fireplace until I remembered they’re illegal here. Meh. I wish they weren’t, those are kind of cool.

Right now I guess the thing to worry about is how long it is going to take for the snow to melt away and for the ground to dry up enough to mow the yard or even to walk across it without getting stuck in the mud!

The junk mail I receive both on and offline is getting to be pathetic. I actually received a catalog the other day that is all about wedding stuff – favors, wedding invitations, stuff like that. Since I’m not getting married and none of my friends are getting married, I just tossed it. But it made me wonder how they come up with their mailing lists.

I mean, some things I know just go to every house on the block. But this was addressed directly to me. So I know it wasn’t a case of everyone got one, because this didn’t have the “or current resident” thing under it. It was strictly to me. Sometimes I wonder if people aren’t thinking it’s funny to sign other people up for stuff they don’t want!
