WTF PayPal?

Ok, I can see that PayPal’s customer service is a bunch of absolute crap. I have an issue with some old bank accounts being on my PayPal account. I wish to remove them, so I went and started the process. Easy enough, click, click, done, right? WRONG! For over a month, every time I try to remove an account, I get a message saying “We’re sorry, your last action can’t be completed.” EVERY TIME. So I finally emailed PayPal about it. Their answer?

They said that if I am getting a “page cannot be displayed” error (I clearly did NOT say page cannot be displayed in my letter to them) then it’s a problem with my browser security settings. They then proceeded to place instructions like I was a fucking child who didn’t know how to run my computer on how to upgrade Internet Explorer and Netscape. They didn’t mention Firefox and apparently are unaware that Netscape is now defunct! There are NO new updates to Netscape and it is no longer supported. They also told me how to set the security settings because “they’re too low.”

NONE of that answered my question properly. I was getting a page that was from PayPal that said they could not complete my last action. So I wrote them back and let them know that their answer had nothing to do with my question. If it weren’t for the fact that the paid blogging places only offer PayPal payment, I’d drop them like a hot potato!

I absolutely refuse to deal with Paypal through email anymore because I always get stupid answers like that. They are sooo much easier to deal with over the phone, and I can honestly say I’ve never gotten any completely stupid answers from a live person either! They’ve always resolved my issues over the phone quickly and pretty painlessly compared to most companies.

Call them if you want to talk to a real live person who’ll actually help.
