Recently I upgraded to WordPress 2.7 beta 2 and it’s not that bad really. The dashboard takes some getting used to, but it’s honestly not that bad. I just really don’t see why a new dashboard was necessary but some people apparently thought it was.
My plugins all work with it as well, which was a big concern when I did the upgrade. We all know how one plugin can mess up and entire WP powered blog, and frankly, I think that’s what often scares people off of using WP or updating their own blogs. I’ve seen several people who say they don’t want to screw anything up. Me, I figure, I delete the plugin, it’ll work again, I’m cool. 
Edit: WTF? I had this post, it posted, WP TOLD me it posted like, 5 days ago, I look tonight and it’s not here. Well, it was, but I had to actually set it back on the blog so it was visible. WTF? DARN GREMLINS!
