Sleep Please
I have never been one to sleep – at least not at night. My mom told me that I was that way from the time I was born. I did not want to sleep at night. I only wanted to sleep during the day, and then the slightest noise would wake me and I would be awake for hours on end after I was awakened. When I got into middle and high school, the teachers blamed the fact that I always had a CD or the radio playing – they said that the music prevented me from sleeping. Actually, it was the opposite. I slept better with the music on than I did if it was off.
My doctor tried to tell me that I needed to get some really good blinds, kick my pets out of my bedroom, get a fan for “white noise,” and make sure that I had no computer, TV, radio, or anything else other than my bed in my bedroom. Yeah that works great when you have a bedroom – but when your bedroom is also the rest of your apartment, that doesn’t work so well – and when you share a bedroom with someone it also doesn’t work so well. My doctor will not consider any of the various sleeping aids, so I’m hoping I can try the music route again. BFL (I share a room with her and her mom has the other bedroom in the house lol) used to sleep with the radio on herself, so I’m hoping we can get back into that habit.
Do you sleep with the radio on??? If so, do you sleep better with it on or off?
