My So-Called Life
More Site Maintenance
I am considering doing a lot more website maintenance. A friend of mine suggested that I try setting up a WordPressMU installation and just pointing the domain names I want to keep to it. There are some things that I’d prefer not to do that with, but I am considering it for another project that I am looking into.
My fanlistings have been moved, and the old locations have been deleted. No, I decided not to put exit signs and show where they went, as I let TFL know and I also emailed the members and let them know where the fanlistings went. There are a couple of fanlistings that I am running that if they do not gain more members pretty soon, I will actually send in the form to close them as well.
I am still trying to decide which of the rest of my domains will remain active and which ones will not. I know that Eternal Stardust Designs’ domain will remain active, I know that Annie’s View’s domain will remain active, Mango Dreams is up in the air because it is my best friend’s domain name. It is her Christmas present each year – if she decides to renew it in 2010, it’ll be 3 years old. She may renew it, she may not.
So far this year I’ve canceled 2 domains – candlightboutique.com and twisted-mayhem.com. The next two that come up for renewal will be renewed. Basicallygeeky.com does not end until 7/30/2010, so I’ll be waiting until then to delete it, unless I decide to keep it before then. The rest of my domains will be remaining intact as far as I know. :/
Later on I believe I may post a page here that lists the various websites that I own so that if people would like to, they can view the sites.
