A Relatively Simple List
You know, it’s funny, but I think I have one of the easiest Christmas wish lists out there. I mean, really. I don’t want a whole lot of stuff. I don’t ask for things like Xbox 360, Manhattan vacations, or new cars. I might ask for games for my DS or for my GameCube. I might ask for books. I might ask for CDs or iTunes gift cards. But I don’t ask for things that are extremely expensive. If it’s extremely expensive I’ll find a way to buy it for myself. I’m just not into asking other people to get me really expensive stuff for gifts.
So you can imagine my chagrin to find that the new tennis shoes BFL’s mom decided to get for me for Christmas came out to be over $100! These were the type of shoes my podiatrist had told me to get in the first place, but still. I don’t like having other people buy stuff for me that is that expensive. If I can’t get it for myself, I dont’ want it. I’m weird that way.

I don’t think that’s weird, I think it’s also polite. We were taught things like that actually. When you go to dinner you don’t order the most expensive item on the menu when someone else is paying for it. Today, people do just the opposite and go hog wild when it’s not their bill.
Good for you
