Proper Work Attire

Ok, I understand that my new job has a casual dress code. They allow things that most places don’t allow you to wear on a daily basis. They’ll accept jeans with holes in them (as long as you’re not showing off something you shouldn’t), tank tops (not spaghetti straps), etc. Hats are a no-no, but I don’t wear them, so I don’t care. However, it is definitely not appropriate, no matter what anyone says, to wear a midriff bearing top and short skirt simply because you wore one of those bodystockings underneath it. You might not be showing bare skin there, but you’re still not covered properly.

Fortunately that girl was sent home. I’m just hoping they had a good conversation with her about what is and is not appropriate work attire. Myself, yes, I wear casual clothing to work as is permitted, but I will still dress up when I feel like doing so. Case in point – my new khaki pants and my nice sweater with my new boots. I wear those as dress up clothes, and I will wear them to work regardless of the fact that I don’t have to.

However, I am in the market for some new jeans and have a catalog here that I plan on ordering from soon. )
