Product Review – Walgreens’ Dad’s All American Root Beer Menthol Throat Drops

For those who have not been following my blog, I have been sick with a cold. This cold has left me with some pretty annoying issues, the cough, sore throat, and voicelessness being chief among them. Because of this, I have been eating cough drops like they were going out of style.

Previously I had been using Halls’ Strawberry flavored cough drops. However, I was running out of them and happened to be at Walgreens looking for some other items, so I decided to pick up some cough drops there. They didn’t have the Strawberry Halls and I wasn’t interested in any other flavors of Halls. Then a bag that said “Dad’s All American Root Beer” caught my eye.

My first thought was ‘why are there root beer barrels in the cough drops?’ Then I happened to take a closer look at the bag and saw the “menthol throat drops” on the bag. At that point, I knew I had to try them. I love root beer, so I figured these would hopefully be good.

Both LaShawn and I tried one (I shared my cold with her LOL) and both of us were amazed. Our throats felt better, our coughs were eased down a bit, and we both felt like we were sucking on root beer barrel candies instead of cough drops. Amazing! Finally! A throat/cough drop that doesn’t taste like a cough drop! Trust me when I say, these drops are awesome! I am definitely going to buy them again!
