Ok, whatever you say

So my best friend gets in touch with Verizon, our lovely cell phone carrier, and complains that my phone doesn’t work. Now mind you there are three phones on this account. Hers, her parents’, and mine. Mine is the only one not working. I would think it’s either something in the provisioning got whacked out, or the phone itself is whacked out. People are telling me they get my voicemail (which is YouMail and not Verizon) but I get no indication that someone is calling me or has called me.
Verizon’s explanation even though two phones on the account work, one doesn’t, and it doesn’t matter where that one phone is or those two working phones are? According to them, the problem is caused by a couple of cell towers being down in our area. All well and good except mine is the only phone not working! I know Jenn knows how I feel, dealing with them! They don’t listen 99% of the time and the 1% of the time they do listen, they still manage to get things wrong! *sigh* So the saga of my Samsung Juke continues.
In other news, I have what appears to be a torn meniscus in my right knee. Nice to know since my knee has been killing me for months. It’s gotten bad again and I went to the ER on Monday and the regular doctor today. I have a follow up at the end of April for my knee, and a physical on the 11th of March. I just love going to the doctor, not. *sigh* The doctor gave me Ultram for pain, told me to get an ace bandage or knee brace and wrap my knee up, and to use crutches when and where possible. She says if we’re “nice” to my knee, hopefully it’ll be “nice” to me and heal up without needing to be scoped or surgically repaired. *sigh* They’re going on an assumption that the meniscus is torn because of a couple of the motion tests that indicate it. I have metal implants in my right foot (staples) and so an MRI is absolute last resort as they’re not willing to take chances on those causing problems with an MRI. So that’s that. Ugh.
And last but not least, my Wal-Mart is clearancing almost all of their jewelry making and bead stuff, so I picked up the leaf shaped beads I wanted (the last 2 packages) for $1.50 each. I’ll probably make 1 necklace and and 2-6 pairs of earrings out of them, depending on how many leaves I use per pair of earrings.
I just need to obtain some more crimp beads to use and I’ll be ready to go.
Ok, my Ultram is making my eyes blur over, although I’m not tired, so I suppose I’d better lay off trying to type and spell things correctly. Talk to you later!
