Love PaperbackSwap…
Hate my neighbors. You see, I had a book, Sam’s Letters to Jennifer by James Patterson, coming from a great gal at PaperbackSwap. The problem? She received the envelope back in the mail, saying the package was undeliverable, something about the address not being right or no one living at the address. Well, ordinarily I would say it was probably just a fluke and the post man was being stupid. But the envelope had been opened and the book had been removed. So yeah, I’m pretty sure that someone around here intercepted my package, opened it, pulled the book, and then sent the empty envelope back saying the package wasn’t deliverable. It wouldn’t be the first time. I miss my old mail carrier. He wouldn’t leave the packages. He always left a notice for me to pick them up at the post office. My new mail carrier sees nothing wrong with leaving my packages out in the open in an area that is open to anyone coming and going in this building.
The gal was really great though. She sent me a message and let me know and had me pick out a different book since I’d spent the credit. I picked Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil just because I’ve heard the title and wanted to see what it was about.
I went back to the doctor today. Nice to know that there was a medicine I could have been given at the beginning of the month when I first got this crap that would have helped. Now I’m stuck waiting for it to go away. Not cool. I’ve missed 5 days this pay period and I’m gonna be in some serious financial crap. Those W-2s better get here quickly. That’s all I can say.
