Ok, you’d think by now my landlords would get the picture that if I hadn’t been sick, I’d have money. It is not like I had money and went out and bought cattle supplies with it or something! I was sick, I was off work, I have no money. End of story. Good thing I got a check for $266 today so I can at very least get them paid something and get them off my back. Now they’re trying to take me to small claims court. Maybe they’d like to have to answer for the shower that doesn’t drain, the bathroom faucet that can’t have hot water or it leaks, the toilet that only works when it wants to, the ceiling tiles in the kitchen that are about to break, the kitchen sink that leaks, the ceiling light in the living room that has never worked, the oven that has never worked, and the porch light that doesn’t work, ALL of which they’ve been made aware of more than once. I’d be willing to bet there’d be some issues there, especially since last I checked, if you had maintenance issues that were not fixed, you were not required to pay rent until they were.
