Interesting
This was kind of interesting to me. They chose a new set of Seven Wonders of the World. Apparently several of the original seven have disappeared or been destroyed, and so it was felt that a new set of seven wonders should be chosen. They used a voting system to determine what was listed.
I’ve been rather busy with the Mary Kay thing, and overtime at work. I just finished a 13 day stretch, I have a small break from overtime this pay period, but then I’m doing another 12 day stretch on the next pay period after this. It’s hell on the body and the brain, since you’re tired all the time when you do overtime in a job like mine, but the money’s really good, so I just think of the money. LOL Hey, it funds my inventory for Mary Kay and that’s cool with me.
All right. I’m out of here for now. I may drop by again later on, but right now, I’m so flippin’ hot, I just want to find a cool spot in my apartment! TTYL!

LOL yes, money is a fantastic incentive.
I think it’s super that they chose some new wonders of the world, and I’m glad they included the Great Wall of China!

I think some of their choices for the 7 Wonders of the World where pretty good, to be honest. Especially Machu Picchu and the Chitchen Itza.

I agree with Keith. Some of the choices were good, some were just simply wierd. The Taj Mahal, me being Indian and all that, isn’t the perfect choice, but it isn’t a bad one.
Busy, but profitable week huh? That’s good. Enjoy it!

I was kind of surprised they chose new ones - and especially by voting.
I have a hard time working 5 days in a row let alone 13! I’d love the money though.

I thought it was pretty neat myself, my husband is mad about it though, he felt like they were saying the old ones weren’t wonders anymore. LOL

I hadn’t heard anything about this at all. Thanks for the story. I think they made some pretty good choices. Some of the ones up for voting were strange … statues and structures? hmmm not sure they qualify as wonders no matter how well known they are.

I read about the new seven wonders this morning. You’re right, it was interesting and the choices were pretty good.
Working so much sounds intense, but I guess as long as the pay is worth it there’s not a lot to complain about. =P

i heard about the wonders of the world thing too. but what actually did they take? what is now considered a “new wonder of the world”? i only heard that they didn´t take “Castle Neuschwanstein” in Germany. Wasn´t it the Colosseum they took?
