How Was Your Independence Day?
Mine was all right. I spent the day watching movies and the NASCAR race on TNT. I walked down to McDonald’s to get something to eat, and got the wrong order, but brought it home and ate it anyway. I spent some time blogging and putting some other things together, including getting Smoke Nation my NASCAR blog back up and running.
I did not watch fireworks, I did not blow off fireworks. I comforted the cat due to the fireworks being blown off in the neighborhood, and was tempted to call the police more than once, due to the fact that the fireworks being blown off are actually illegal here in Iowa. I mean, they were blowing off illegal fireworks in an area with a lot of grass and trees (park across the street) without a single solitary care for the houses around the park at all.
Today has been more of the same. Blogging, watching movies, cooking dinner. Now I’m watching Independence Day, blogging, and submitting favorite blog posts and articles to Digg, StumbleUpon, and other social bookmarking sites. I’m really just trying to keep busy since I can’t really go much of anywhere. There is nothing withing walking distance except McDonald’s, which isn’t going to provide me any entertainment. The buses do not run on Sunday and frankly, I can’t afford a cab. I can’t afford anything to be honest, which is another reason I am here, not somewhere other than here.
I could probably work on new blog themes or something of that sort, but I just put up the themes I have now a couple of weeks ago. I could work on my website portfolio as well, to kind of showcase what I have and what I can do. I suppose I could definitely do that. It would give me something to do.
