I Have Work To Do
I have work to do, however, I seem to be doing my best to avoid doing it. Then again, I have several projects in mind to create/do but have not even started on them. These projects are what I mean by I have work to do. I don’t have work to do for my 9-5 job, aka, the real world job, because that’s an on-the-phones, fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants type of job where I don’t have any sort of outside preparation. But I do have some web based projects that I am wanting to get going on.
First up – finish learning about JavaScript and try my hand at creating one or two scripts. Just basic things to start with to test my ability to create scripts, but I would like to get this done. After all, if I can do that, then I can start working towards saving the money for a W3C certification in JavaScript.
Next on the list is to actually save the money for the HTML certification from W3C. It costs $59 per certification test. I know I’ll do well on the HTML test as I’ve taken the quiz on W3C several times and gotten 100% on each time. So I’m sure that the certification test will be easy enough to pass. I just need to find $59 and a proctor for the exam. *sigh*
After that is JavaScript certification. As I said before, I want to be certified in that as well.
After HTML and JavaScript are completed, I am interested in learning and being certified in XML. HTML & JavaScript are suggested prerequisites to learn before XML, hence why I went for them first. After they are both complete, whether certified or not, I will be moving on to the next thing. Which will be XML.
I am also wanting to learn to write PHP code. I may not ever really write any scripts, but to be able to understand what I am doing when I am looking at a document full of PHP code would be wonderful. I also plan on learning ASP coding as well.
Apart from the various learning I am planning on doing, I also have a few things I want to accomplish. I want to take my book review blog and create my own theme for it instead of using themes that are pre-made. I also want to create a new theme for The Swanton Rant, so that I am not using the default WordPress theme for it. I also would like to create a few new themes for Annie’s View so that viewers of that website can have a choice of themes.
I am also needing to get busy and create a few new web sets for Eternal Stardust and create the services page there. I will be starting to offer web master, WordPress assistance, and other things there shortly.
I also am planning on working on a few new pairs of earrings and possibly some bracelets in the near future as well which will go to my Etsy shop as soon as I can get them the way I want them.
So there you have it. I have work to do, but I am avoiding doing it. However, I do believe I will get a fairly decent start on it in the next couple of hours before I have to head off to bed. With that, I am off to begin working on the things I have planned for the moment.
