At the end of this week, my training class and I are graduating to Streamline. Streamline is where we spend 2 weeks on the phone, learning how to take calls. It should be farily interesting, especially as they have us set to get our feet wet on the phones Thursday. We have to buddy up and take calls for a couple of hours, switching back and forth between who’s taking calls and who’s observing. Frankly, I don’t like that idea at all. I don’t mind getting on the phones, it’s having to sit there with someone who is going to be “helping” me remember where to go, what to do, what to say, etc that bothers me. That always makes me nervous and I get to the point where I’m not sure what I should do or say unless I confer with the person sitting with me. Not cool. I’m not usually that way.
I converted my categories to tags….and then a weird thing happened. Half my categories disappeared in my WordPress writing page. Not only that, but I can’t create new categories. The only thing I ever get when I ask for help is “switch hosts again, it’s obviously your host.” Actually, I’m back on my reseller, and since ALL of my blog installations are 2.3, and this is the ONLY one with the problem, my host has nothing to do with it. Of course, people don’t listen, and just give automatic responses. I wish I could get a REAL answer to this question. But of course, that’s not going to happen at all.
Oh well, I guess I’ll just use tags when I want to work with a “new category.” If I can ever get the call for the tags to work in a theme, I’ll probably eliminate the categories period.
In any case, I’d better go. It’s almost time for my friend to pick me up for work. TTYL
