Giving Up For Now
The job market in this town flat out stinks. I picked up our local job hunting paper (yes, our newspaper prints a seperate, free, job finding guide each week) today and OMG. There was nothing there! Seriously! I think the only job I found there that I was even slightly qualified for was to go back to my most recent employer. And frankly, I’ve already been down that road, they tried to get me to come back, and my sanity and health are not worth it! I would gladly get a job selling wind deflectors for a car parts store before I would go back to that place. And I know squat about cars, so I can just see what would happen if I worked at a car parts store. LOL
So yeah, I’m giving up on the job market around here for a bit. I’ll see what it’s like in a couple of months. I know I was told that a lot of places will go on hiring sprees just after Christmas, because a lot of people will stay through Christmas and then leave.
