Garden of Life

One thing I’ve been hearing lately is how we all need to be eating from the garden of life. By that I mean getting away from eating prepackaged foods. If it comes in a box, can, package, or wrapper, don’t touch it. Eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, preferably organically grown, and eat little or no meat. This is the way to healthier eating and healthier bodies. But what do you do when organic produce is off your budget? I know that occasionally farmers’ markets are a great place to buy organic produce because they’re usually from home gardens and don’t use a lot of chemicals. A lot of times, they’re cheaper than the grocery store as well. But it still makes for some interesting questions if you can’t afford to buy organic. Of course, planting your own garden might be an option, if you happen to have a place to do it. If you were going to start eating organic foods only, and you didn’t have the money to buy the stuff, what would you do? Would you find a way to budget more for groceries, or would you find a way to plant a garden?
