You know, there are tons of legitimate reasons to use file hosting. The most common one is to make files you want others to be able to download available, without using your website’s bandwidth and space. I found a pretty cool site that offers free file hosting with what I think is an interesting twist. You don’t have to create an account or log in to upload a file, and you don’t have to create an account or log in to be able to download a file someone else has uploaded. You just upload the file, get the download URL from hosted.org and make the URL available. The people who choose to download your file get it without a hitch and there’s no cost involved whatsoever! You can share any type of file and can post your download link anywhere you’re able to post links – blogs, websites, message boards, etc. Pretty cool if you ask me. Not many places left that let you host files for download for free!
