Did They Screw It Up?

Lately I’ve been dealing with a lot of calls regarding the new channel lineup change that Sirius & XM underwent on the 12th of November. The reason people are calling in about it is that we moved a lot of channels around, we removed a few channels, and most of them have been renamed. It would also seem that previously uncensored channels are now censored. Yay. People are not happy. Examples would include the following complaints.

  • Playboy Radio cannot be found. It moved to channel 99 instead of 198.
  • The Strobe (disco station) is retired. You’ll have to make do with Joe Causi’s Disco Show on ch 7. Sorry.
  • There is now only one Spanish language station – Caliente. I apologize. I don’t make the decisions about the channels.
  • I honestly didn’t expect the reaction we got for The Strobe being gone. I really didn’t. Yet that’s the station that people are literally canceling their service over! If you ever want to know who listens to disco music anymore, I’ll tell you. Sirius Satellite Radio subscribers.
