Here I sit, fresh from the shower, wondering what the world to blog about. Oh….it snowed today! I can say that. It actually did snow. Well, actually it snowed last night. The people my landlord hired to scoop the walks though are idiots. They only put salt on my neighbor’s side of the porch, leaving my side a giant ice slide. :roll: Just what I want to deal with tomorrow when I go to work - sliding down my steps and hoping I don’t break my neck. I’ve got to pick up some ice melt when I go back to Wal-Mart again.

Earlier I saw an article about the NFL choosing not to play the National Anthem before a football game. Apparently this was done because of a delay due to weather. So the news article said that it was an un-American move by the NFL. Ok, I understand that it’s become a very large part of the pre-game to have the National Anthem played. They play it before everything, including NASCAR races. Heck, if you go to a movie on a military base, they play it before the movie starts. I understand that it is a tradition to play it. But to say that the NFL was wrong to decide not to play it this one time, that it was un-American and that they’re not worthy of using the colors red, white, and blue on their logo, is going too far. Yes, I am American. Yes, I am proud to BE American. But I don’t play or sing the National Anthem before doing things. In fact, I can go days, weeks, even months without hearing it if I don’t watch my NASCAR races. So I honestly can’t see making a big stink over ONE game that they don’t play the Star Spangled Banner at. Now if they make it a habit, yeah, go ahead, make a stink. But don’t go screaming about one game that didn’t have the National Anthem played before it started.

Sorry about the soapbox there. I try not to do that on this blog if I can help it, but lately, this blog is the one that’s been getting the rants.

I’m freezing. Of course, I just got out of the shower, a little bit ago and my hair is still wet. That might explain it. I never blow dry my hair because it’s too thick. It gets so fluffy, nothing can tame it until I wash it again. I prefer not to look like a wild woman with my hair. That’s just not cool.

Ok, I need to get going for the time being. I’ve got some stuff to do before I go to bed. And then it’ll be off to bed and hope I have a ride to work tomorrow.
