I am definitely exhausted. I got early yesterday, picked up my check, cashed it, went to work, spent 8 hours there, spent another hour or so at Walmart, then went to Walgreens to rent movies from the redbox machine. (The one at Walmart wasn’t working.) Then I went home, settled in with my trusty laptop and ordered pizza for me, BFL and her mom. Then I bought 3 credits on Paperback Swap and ordered Christina Skye’s “Code Name: Blondie” and “Code Name: Bikini.” Then we ate, bummed around the internet, did a couple of searches about mesothelioma because a co-worker is afraid her dad might have it and so I wanted to help her out by finding some info on it for her.
Finally we settled in to watch movies – I rented “Quarantine,” “The Cry,” and “Twilight.” We watched “The Cry” first and I have to say, neither me or BFL were impressed. We were expecting a much scarier movie than it actually was. It was a huge disappointment. Then we watched “Twilight.” I am not a fan of movies made from books, and this was no exception. Sorry but the interactions between Bella and Edward, Bella and everyone else, and Edward and everyone else, were FAR too stilted in my opinion. They didn’t flow like they do in the book. Not how I pictured it at all. And forgive me, but although BFL thinks Robert Pattinson was hot as Edward, I personally did not care for him. I think I’m the only female who has seen the movie who prefers the actor playing Jasper, or ever the actor who played James.
However, it did make BFL want to read the series, which I had books 2-4 in (another friend borrowed the first one and I never got it back LOL), so I found a copy on Paperback Swap and ordered it. It won’t be hardback like my other three, but I’m not picky.
Now it’s off to do some work I’ve been putting off and then do some other things on the internet.
