The business I share with my best friend has quite a few product lines. We offer crocheted baby blankets, we offer crocheted kitchen decor items, we offer bath and body items. Some people have actually asked me about the possibility of getting a catalog from us so they can look it over and give us an order without having to do it online.
I can honestly say I’ve thought about having someone design and print catalogs for us to be able to hand out or mail out to customers who want a catalog. But then I realize that at the moment, our sales wouldn’t allow for something like that – we don’t have enough income via Etsy to justify printing catalogs and having them available for sales we may not even get.
Ooh, glad I’m not the only one who does that! I had business cards made for my store, but only because I had one of those special offers from Vista Print to take advantage of! I’ve had sales for my jewelry, but it’s been mostly through word of mouth referrals. Etsy and Storenvy? Not so much.
Etsy’s actually been pretty good to us – if you can call 30 sales in a year and a half good. LOL Storenvy – I made one for us and haven’t put any products in it yet. TheCraftStar is another one that I haven’t had much luck with yet either.
We’ve done a couple of craft shows and the second one we made a couple of sales that way, but mostly we sell baby blankets offline. LOL
