So one of the classes I’m taking is a programming class. I hate it. I’m supposed to be learning JavaScript and DHTML and all we’ve done so far is JavaScript and I can’t grasp one single bit of it. It makes no sense at all and the textbook examples don’t help because if you copy and paste the code into an HTML document, the code doesn’t work! What’s the point of having an example of code if it doesn’t work? Oh and now we’re being told we can’t use the Internet as a resource to help us figure out how to make our code work because it’s plagiarism. How is using code that WORKS to debug NON-WORKING code plagiarism? Whatever.
Then I find that someone at work is having surgery soon and wants to know how he’ll get around. He isn’t very steady on crutches (like me) and so I told him to look into a free spirit knee walker. I’ve seen those knee walkers in action and they’re pretty cool – as long as it isn’t your knee that’s got the problem. LOL
