So my friend Sarah is in town until this Monday and wanted to know if LaShawn and I wanted to see The Lion King 3D with her. We said sure (any chance to see a movie in the theater is awesome) and so we went to see it last night. If someone had told me in advance that this was just a 3D format of the original Lion King I probably wouldn’t have gone. Yes, the 3D was awesome but…. I was kind of hoping for either new scenes that weren’t in the original or perhaps a whole new Lion King movie, not just a 3D rehash of the original.

I have to admit that I have never quite been a huge fan of the Lion King. I like the movie all right, but it has never been my “favorite” movie by Disney. I will say that I do like the music though. I guess I was just expecting something new and exciting instead of shots of Zazu’s butt in my face.
