I Love People Without Brains
If you like, you can look at the comments on this post. Obviously the post was not properly read by the first commenter, nor is he a regular reader of this blog, because he’d know more about me and know better if he was.
If you read my blog regularly, you know that I am currently self-employed. Would I like to have a regular job, yes and no. I mean, I would because I’d make more money and pay less in taxes, but then I wouldn’t have the option of being able to not work for a day because I have other things going on. That can be a big help when I have a lot to do for school or other things that are happening in my life.
The commenter obviously is someone who looks down on anyone who gets any kind of assistance for anything. Please – I couldn’t care less about a copay that is infinitely smaller than any copay I have ever had to pay with the employer-sponsored insurance he was saying I “choose” not to get by not getting a job. Really, the job market here is basically fast food and Walmart and I’ve applied for both several times, only to be told that the positions are filled – and they are – with teenagers. I don’t bother to blog about the countless applications I fill out online for places and paper applications I turn in each week because if I did, that would be all I would ever blog about.
Why do people think I chose to go to college? Duh. So I could start looking for a job at a place that requires a degree so I don’t have to compete with teenagers.
Sometimes I think people need to think – and read – before the comment.
