Gotta Love It!

Sunday, May 18th, 2008

I’ve been checking out some really interesting little shops all over the internet lately. People have shops for everything from hand sewn stuffed animals to handcrafted jewelry! It’s amazing and really neat. I wish I made anything that was worth actually paying to have one of those neat little shops. I mean, I do crochet, but I don’t do enough to actually warrant getting a shop to sell what I make. I make afghans for the most part, nothing that would be worth purchasing to anyone else. ) But maybe someone would. Who knows?

It Never Ceases to Amaze Me

Sunday, May 18th, 2008

I’m telling you, the comments I receive at this blog never cease to amaze me. In keeping with my new commenting policy, which I am going to be posting as a page in the near future, I have been deleting comment that have keywords in the “Name” field. Why? Because I am getting comments “from” everything from plumbing fixtures to traveling, and frankly, I’m tired of it. Simply because this blog is no follow, does not mean that I am allowing you to willy-nilly post your keywords in my comments.

Some bloggers strip the links, not me. I delete the comment entirely. Why? Because frankly, most of them are one or two sentences that are just attempts at being relevant to the post in the vain hope that the comment will not be removed. Sorry. No keyword comments here buddy. I’m not here to drive YOUR PR up through my comments.

Remember Wednesday, May 14th

Friday, May 16th, 2008

A little late, I know, but I had to get my laptop to where I had a connection that would actually allow me to upload my song. :grr: It drives me absolutely nuts not having internet at home. LOL

With Memorial Day coming up, I’ve been thinking a lot about the people I’ve lost over the years. My dad, my birth mother, aunts, grandmother, my mom. So although again, not my usual style of music, I think Mariah Carey’s “Bye Bye” is a perfect fit for the season. If you’d like to see more answers to this meme, check out Remember Wednesday. )

Finally some Spring/Summer Weather!

Friday, May 16th, 2008

We’ve been waiting impatiently for the weather to actually bother to change to being warm. It’s been unseasonably cool this year, being it’s almost the middle of May and is still getting down into the 30’s and lower at night. Brrrrr! Now the weather is making me wish I had a place to put some nice outdoor furniture. I’d love to be able to sit out on a patio or something like that under an umbrella and watch my doggie run around the yard, playing and possibly snoozing in the sun.

Tomorrow I might bring my Panda Bear over to LaShawn’s and put him on the tie-out to let him play outside for a bit. He’s been wanting to stay outside for a longer period of time lately, but with my neighborhood, I just can’t do it. Someone, most likely the kids, would take him off the tie-out and I’d lose him. Not something I want to have happen! So I’m just going to bring him over every so often to be on the tie-out. )
