If you have bank accounts at Washington Mutual, watch them closely! I just logged into my online banking to find that my savings account is overdrawn. Why? Because for some unknown reason, they pulled an “overdraft protection payment” from it to my checking account. Here’s the problem with this - #1, the accounts are NOT linked. I did that for a reason. I didn’t want any money pulled from the savings account to the checking account unless I initiated the transfer. Well, I never initiated this transfer but it’s there. Also, it was not there 2 days ago, but the transaction log says it was done back in March. I don’t think so. I think the bank is playing games with me. I am definitely getting a new account at a bank that can be trusted with my money, as Washington Mutual obviously cannot be.
