Tag! I’m It!

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008

LOL! Joana tagged me and so here it is. )

Here’s how you play: Once you’ve been tagged you have to write a blog with 10 weird, random facts, habits, or goals about yourself– at the end choose 5 people to be tagged. Don’t forget to leave them a comment saying (You’re It!) and to go read your blog. You cannot tag the person that tagged you.

1) I put Ranch dressing on pizza, hamburgers, fries, chicken nuggest, chicken strips, hot dogs, etc.
2) I am so used to having a diabetic in my home that I always drink diet soda, even though I don’t have to anymore.
3) I cheat at work and get on the internet from my desk. I use a proxy server if I have to. )
4) I recently went back to website competitions, using a graphics site I used to run a while ago.
5) I make triple-background sets for use with table layouts but yet I don’t use them myself on my sites anymore.
6) I spend most of my time at home reading because I don’t have internet access there anymore.
7) I am thinking of buying a house, but my credit is so shot, I’m not sure I’d be able to. (
8) I collect unicorns, fairies, dragons, and angels.
9) I am extremely squeamish, but yet love to watch the SAW series. shock
10) The longest I have ever worked at a call center job is 7 months - my 7th month here at Stream is 4/24.

Honestly, I don’t have any one to tag with it. ) Most everyone I would tag with it has probably already done it, so I’m going to cheat and say that if you’re reading, you haven’t done it, and you want to, go for it. )

Um, Poker Anyone?

Saturday, April 19th, 2008

I will never understand poker. It’s not that I haven’t tried, but I can’t get the hang of it. It just seems like that is one game I’ll never understand. Oh well. I can deal with it. I don’t have to play poker. ) So I guess it’s a good thing I’ve never ordered one of those poker tables, isn’t it?

LaShawn can play Texas Hold ‘Em pretty well, but even though she’s tried to explain it to me, I just don’t ever seem to catch on. I guess I’ll just play something else. )

Housing Innovations

Saturday, April 19th, 2008

More and more I am amazed by the innovations that are being made concerning housing. Just a few years ago, when my mom was still alive and not yet bed ridden, there weren’t nearly as many innovations for disabled people. When my mom passed away in 2005, the only places I knew of that had walk in tubs were nursing homes. The general public didn’t have that option. Now private citizens can have one and keep their independence while still taking baths by themselves.

I’ve seen newer and better wheelchair ramps built onto houses, and I’ve even seen homes that have had previous ramps removed and look like the ramps were never there. I honestly wish a lot of those things had been around when my mom was still alive. Her quality of life once she’d become disabled would have been so much better. (

Music!

Saturday, April 19th, 2008

I’ve been rediscovering some of my old favorite bands. I never realized that Poison was still recording songs, but I found a version of Justin Timberlake’s “Sexy Back” by them. And Motley Crue is coming back with a new CD AND a tour called Crue Fest with Sixx AM, Trapt, and a couple of other bands. It sounds awesome. I hope they come around here. )

Makes me think of my old t-shirts. I haven’t seen any of them in ages, except my Type O Negative shirt. That one I’ve still got. It’s the ONLY one of my band shirts I still have. As far as I know. I miss my band shirts. I used to have 3 Motley Crue shirts, a couple Def Leppard shirts, a Candlebox shirt, 2 Type O Negative shirts, you get the picture. Yeah, I was a band shirt junkie. I’d love to have some again, but can’t afford them. ( Maybe someday.
