Yes you read that right. I hate my life. My bank is refusing to acknowledge my direct deposit because my job sent it twice, so until the mistake is corrected, I can’t use my checking account at all. I have bills I have to pay TODAY and can’t. I can’t even get money for lunch out of my account.

I got garnished 25% of my check and so I don’t even get to grocery shop or do laundry because my couch and my rent are going to take what of my check I DO have. Yeah, go figure. I get no food because the people doing my wage garnishment felt it was ok to remove over $150 of my check. Just peachy.

Well, I upgraded Annie’s View and Annie’s Other Views to 2.5 for my friend Annie. I have this blog on 2.5RC3, because I’m not where the files to upgrade to 2.5 are right now. But I had some trouble with Annie’s View as the .htaccess file got messed up, and it wouldn’t let me use WP. Thankfully the database was NOT corrupted as I’d thought it was, because my backup for some reason wasn’t working.

I had THREE backups for that database and NONE of them worked, so I’m not particularly happy that my databases were not backed up correctly. I’ve also had the WordPress Export file on another blog that I was moving that I couldn’t access PHPMyAdmin for to get the database that did NOT add all entries to the export file so when I imported it, it didn’t work. So now I’ve lost several entries on that blog and I’m not happy about it. Grrrrr!

In any case, I’m hoping I can get all my blogs upgraded to 2.5 in the near future. I got 2 of them to actual 2.5 now I just have to get more of them to 2.5. This should be fairly interesting.

Note to the wise: make sure your .htaccess file does not put a # behind any > in the file or the server won’t read it correctly. ARGH

Not for me, but for my boss. She bought a house. I’m so happy for her, because she’s in a neighborhood that’s worse than mine. She won’t even walk her dogs there because it’s so bad, and she’s got BIG dogs! THAT is bad! I told her she needed to get some brand new teak furniture for her new place. She laughed at me, but said that it sounded like a good idea. LOL I figured new house, new furniture.

I remember when my ex-roomie and I moved into a house that she bought. Personally, I thought she was nuts for having bought the house in the first place when the two of us could barely afford to pay the bills in the apartment we were renting, and the rent there was half what the house payment was, and we didn’t have to pay the water bill at the apartment! But she did it, and we made it by, but barely. Now that I’m here in Iowa, I wonder sometimes if she’s managed to keep her house or not. I’m sure she has because she swore that if necessary she could make all the bills by herself. It just makes me wonder if she really could or not. I have her phone number, but we parted company under strained terms and I haven’t spoken to her at all since I left Texas. Maybe I’ll try writing her just to say hello and that I was thinking about her. If the letter comes back, I’ll know she moved.

I apologize, I forgot to complain about my kitchen. LOL… Let me see here….. the stove works great, as long as you don’t want to use the oven! My cabinets have plenty of space for me as a single person, but I have NO counter space! I’d love some counter space! And don’t even get me started on my sink! That thing is HORRIBLE! The faucet needs to be replaced because frankly, it has a spray range that will amaze. The problem is, it sprays from parts of the faucet that it shouldn’t spray from! So yeah, that’s not exactly cool. I usually end up soaked by the end of doing the dishes. Too bad I live in an apartment, I’d apply for Extreme Makeover Home Edition.
