Tagged…Yet Again!

Monday, January 28th, 2008

Jenn from Everyday Randomness just tagged me, so it’s my turn to pass this along. Don’t forget to follow the rules!

Rule #1: Copy all the links below and replace a single link under the appropriate letter of the alphabet. If your domain name, or even the title of your blog, starts with an “A,” you’d replace the link under that letter and put the replaced link at the bottom. Also, don’t forget to credit the tagger, or where you got the list from, at the end of the list with a full URL of the post so that a pingback gets generated.

I Am Fat

Sunday, January 27th, 2008

This is something that I readily admit. I also readily admit that I need to take steps to remedy this situation. I found SparkPeople, which, if I would bother to use it, will allow me to have the same sense of community, meal plans, fitness plans, etc that eDiets did, but for FREE. I’m only having one problem.

Based on my weight and other characteristics, SparkPeople has stated that I need to consume 2100 - 2450 calories per day in order to sustain my body and lose weight. No matter what I do, I can’t seem to get above 1900 calories, and even then, I’m eating way more than I normally would. This is including eating 2 hamburger sandwiches with miracle whip and mustard, a TV dinner, and a serving of Chef Boyardee Mini Ravioli, all things that one would think would raise the calorie count through the roof. Well, they don’t. I’d love to know why it is that I am not getting enough calories the way I eat. Hmph.

Record Keeping

Saturday, January 26th, 2008

This year, I am making darned sure to keep records of each time I am paid for doing blogging work. Last year I didn’t and I just ended up having to sit here and go through my PayPal records for 2007 to get all the payment amounts and who paid me so I could have the information for my taxes. Only 2 of the companies I do work for paid me more than $600 so I figure only those 2 will probably send me any forms saying that I made money from them. But I did go through and retrieve all the PayPal records of my payments so that I know what I was paid and who paid it to me. )

However, this year, I’ve got Excel spreadsheets for each company. I create them as each company actually pays me. So far I have LinkWorth, PayU2Blog, Blogitive, and PayPerPost sheets made up. I’ll make up other sheets if and when I get some work from the other places. So far, I haven’t made a whole lot for 2008. I think I’ve made about $200 - $250. But there’s 11 more months in which to make some money so hey, who knows what I’ll get by the end of the year. )

I Left My Heart….

Saturday, January 26th, 2008

Somewhere, but I’m not entirely sure of where. ) However, I HAVE visited San Francisco before. I think I was about 8 or 9 at the time and my grandmother and aunt had flown in from Iowa, where I now reside. My mom and dad planned a day trip to San Francisco and actually allowed me to miss school so I could go with them. It was an amazing experience. Especially going up in Coit Tower. At the top they had a machine that you put pennies in and it stretched them, flattened them, and stamped them with an image of Coit Tower. It was pretty cool.

I remember saying Fisherman’s Wharf was boring. LOL We ate at a bakery and I had my first taste of sourdough bread. Back then, I didn’t like it. Now, I love the stuff. ) Somehow now though, I wish we’d had Trusted Tours & Attractions to plan one of their San Francisco tours so we could have focused more on sight-seeing than on what to do next.

Even better if we signed up for the Win Handheld GPS - Newsletter and won a handheld GPS unit. Believe me, my dad could get lost so easily it wasn’t even funny. My dad couldn’t read a map, my mom couldn’t read a map, and yet my mom was the one who had to navigate because dad was driving. Oy!

Besides San Francisco though, there are a lot of other places I’d love to go on sightseeing tours of, such as - Chicago, New York, Honolulu, and many others. Maybe I should book my next vacation through Trusted Tours & Attractions. LOL
