I don’t know why, but I just thought of this - this year was the 20th year of Christmas without Daddy (my grandfather who adopted me when I was 2). It was the 18th year of Christmas without Suzi (my birth mother). And it was the 3rd year of Christmas without Mom (my grandmother who adopted me when I was 2). I think the last one is the one that bothers me the most. The other two have had time to wear off, but Mom….she was the one person that had been constant. Even after I’d gotten to the point where she actually had to tell me to go buy my own presents because she could never figure out what to get me (twice she got me high speed internet access for my birthday), she was always there. Oh I know she’s still with me in spirit, but still. I miss her terribly. I still tend to wake up out of a dead sleep because I’d swear I heard her holler for me.

I guess that’s something that’s just going to take some time to get over.

Christmas was 2 days ago. Please stop playing Christmas music on the radio, satellite radio or not. It’s annoying to hear the songs after the holiday has already passed for the year. And if the radio stations feel they must continue to assault the ears with Christmas music after we’ve already grown weary of it, the least my workplace could do is to freakin’ change the station to one that ISN’T playing it. Sheesh!

Ok, yeah, I know, that’s an odd title for a post, and you’re probably all going to say TMI, but really, I need new underwear. Mostly because mine have disappeared. I’m telling you, like socks, they DO get up and walk off on their own. I know I had more underwear before. I was thinking of maybe getting some prettier stuff next time though. You know, find a place that actually sells plus size lingerie and get some nicer stuff. No, I don’t have a man to wear it for, but hey, why the heck not? I’ve seen plenty of women who say they buy the stuff more for themselves, to make themselves feel prettier, than they buy it for the men in their lives. Besides, you buy it to wear for a man, and you don’t wear it very long anyways.

The place I work for (Stream) is interesting at holiday time as I’m finding out. I had Christmas Eve off, but the came around and gave everyone a packet of cocoa, a cup, and a snack cake. For Christmas they had a catered dinner from one of the area catering companies. For Dec 26, I know they’re supposed to have a “decorate your own sugar cookie” thing going on. And I know that New Year’s Eve, everyone working gets free pizza. I know there’s stuff going on Thursday, but I can’t remember what it is. :lmao:

I’ve been playing around on Kaneva again. I actually paid money and purchased an upgrade to my apartment, some new clothes, a dance floor so I can play the dance party game in my own apartment, and I created a 2nd floor to put the dance floor on. I’m trying to clean up my apartment as I have a potential house guests coming in a couple weeks, but I just don’t want to do it. I really don’t. *sigh*
