Pretty Good

Wednesday, November 28th, 2007

I stopped at Wal-Mart after work and because I was feeling lazy, I bought a box of 2 “hero” size cheeseburgers by Swanson. A couple of minutes in the microwave, a slathering of Miracle Whip, and a drizzle of dijon mustard, and I have to say, they aren’t half bad. ) Although I have to say, the burger patties tasted exactly like salisbury steak patties without the gravy. I think my dog, who got the last bites of both burgers agrees.

Ever attempted to blog with a cat balanced on your shoulder? It’s not easy, I can tell you that. LOL My cat Spooky decided to perch himself on my shoulder while I was typing. Not the greatest place for a feline to be. LOL As for Panda, he’s staring at me as if to say I didn’t give him enough of my food. He’s trying to figure out right now if I still have food. Which I don’t. lol

I’m thinking of changing the theme again, this time I want to make a winter/Christmas theme for the site. But I’m not sure how I want to do it. I’m not all that great at making graphics and what I want to do I may not be able to pull off. lol We’ll see. )

All right, I’m off to mess around with graphics. TTYL

Work??

Tuesday, November 27th, 2007

I’m having one of those days. You know, the ones where you get out of bed, but your eyes don’t want to stay open? My brain keeps saying “your pillows are getting lonely.” I know that but my checkbook says “feed me” and I have rent to pay, etc. So staying home is not an option. LOL

Work really isn’t too bad though. In all honesty you rarely get a crabby person. Most of my crabby customers have been because they were supposed to get a call back from our networking department and they didn’t. Although I’m still figuring out how it is that our quality department is saying I’m not marking the “customer problem” field correctly. If the customer said she wanted to change her email settings, and I put “change email settings” in the customer problem field, wouldn’t that be correct? You would think, but they apparently want it as close to the words the customer actually said, regardless of what the problem really is.

So if you call in and say you can’t get your email, even if it turns out that you didn’t have a connection to the internet at all, I have to put that you can’t get your email. roll Sometimes I wonder about the place I work for. lol

Well, I’d better get going. I have to get dressed and I have to walk the pooch before my ride gets here. Plus we have to stop at the gas station and put gas in the car before they drop me off.

Clothes Shopping

Tuesday, November 27th, 2007

I don’t shop for clothes. Why? Because I’m fat and I can never find anything that fits me. Honestly, I’m a woman but probably fit better into mens’ “big and tall” sizes than women’s sizes of anything. I was looking around for clothes and stumbled on this volcom clothing. Not a whole lot I liked there, but I did see a pretty cool hoodie. I’m a hoodie freak, but I’m picky about them. I have to like them a lot before I’ll actually buy one. Mind you, I am still looking for the perfect black hoodie. LOL So there you have that. But like I said, there was a hoodie that I found that I’d like to have.

I’m looking at two choices for clothing. Exclusively shopping online or dropping a lot of weight so I’ll fit into normal clothing. Somehow I think that the online clothes shopping will work a lot better at the moment than suddenly dropping a good 150 lbs. Yeah. I said 150. LOL I’m not kidding. lol

Ok, I need to get my butt to bed. I’ve got to work tomorrow. Maybe one of these days, I’ll actually use my paychecks to purchase clothes for myself. )

I’m Getting a Computer!

Tuesday, November 27th, 2007

I do a website for a friend of mine and we’d been talking the other day about how frustrated I am with my “hybrid heap” or “hybrid dinosaur” of a computer. It doesn’t let me do anything I want to do. I can’t play certain games or load certain software because I don’t have enough memory. I can’t do this or that because this or that isn’t good enough on my computer.

Well, my friend’s husband decided that for a Birthday/Christmas/Thanks for running my wife’s websites gift, he was going to build me a computer. Now I realize that these aren’t the greatest specs in the world, but when you think about the heap’s specs you’ll see it’s a definite step up.

New computer specs:
3.0 Duel Processor, 533MB RAM, 100GB hard drive, front USB ports, 20X CD/DVD Rewrite

Now the specs on the heap:
850 mHz Intel Celeron, 256MB RAM, 80GB hard drive, no front USB ports, CD Rewrite/DVD drive but can’t remember the speed on it.

So yes, I believe this is actually a step up from my current system. I’m still planning to get a laptop so I can wander my apartment with it, but all in all, I think this new tower will suit me just fine. ) I want to give a big thanks to Annie and her hubby for this great gift! )
