For The Record

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

I am now with 3 days down from this payperiod due to bronchitis and laryngitis. It sucks to be me right now. My voice is starting to come back. I get a couple words in, and then nothing. I think another dose or 2 of the Prednisone and the least amount of talking possible for the rest of today/tonight up until I start work tomorrow should kick my voice back into use. ) I really hope so, because I can’t afford another day off. I can’t afford the 3 I’ve already had!

And I’m seriously hoping that the doxycycline they gave me is NOT the pill I had 10 years ago (it looks like it) that gave me nose bleeds everytime I sneezed or threw up. I’m really hoping it’s not because the last thing I need for the next 10 days is to sneeze and have blood start running out of my nose. LOL That isn’t exactly what people want to see or hear about at work.

Speaking of work, I’m about to be royally screwed. I have to work on Sundays and my ride can’t take me. The bus doesn’t run out there where I work and even if it did, it doesn’t on Sundays. I can probably take a cab and will probably have to. THAT is gonna cost me some big bucks too. Hopefully I can find a coworker kind enough to bring me to work. LOL And hopefully I won’t be contagious by then. LOL

Off to dig out my box of peppermint tea and brew myself a cup of it. )

Seriously Folks

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

If you’ve been reading on my other blog about my problems with Yahoo! and LaunchCast Plus, you know that I’m frustrated. (There’s another update on the situation coming soon, I promise you.) Honestly, I’m not sure anymore that I want to spend my hard earned money on that service when I can’t even get them to understand what the problem I’m having when signing up is. So instead, I’m working on getting the upgrades for my computer so I can play World of Warcraft. I just got a new video card and more RAM on eBay. I figure I might as well spend my money on something I can do right now. What I’d like to do, after being sick and having all this aggravation, is go looking for Las Vegas hotels, book myself a room, book myself a flight, and go on a vacation. Did I mention that my sickness now has a name? Laryngitis (which I already knew) and bronchitis. Yes folks, I have bronchitis. Good thing my landlord decided to get the heat turned on for me today! LOL

In any case, I’m off to do some various working to see how much I can make in the next couple of days. I have to make up for what I lost at work. LOL

Did I Say Threatening?

Did I say my voice was threatening to leave? Cancel that. It DID.

I Can’t Stand It Anymore

Sunday, October 28th, 2007

I honestly can’t stand this cold anymore. It’s been a week already. It needs to leave, and NOW. Between Dayquil softgels, Nyquil softgels, losing my voice twice and it threatening to leave yet again, and my nose CONSTANTLY running, I am seriously losing my mind.
I am wondering how any of the customers I speak with tomorrow will understand me since I can barely understand myself. On top of it all, my ears are filled with fluid and everything is muffled. And no, nothing works to pop them open again.

I really wish I knew why it was that everyone else takes Dayquil and Nyquil and gets great results, I take it and it’s like I drank the water/soda and forgot to take the pills. And let’s not forget that I am actually putting Carmex on my NOSE because it helps soothe the parts of my nose that are seriously sore and chapped from all the running my nose has been doing. Yes, this is getting to be a sad case here. Thank Goddess for Walgreens. That’s all I have to say. ) I’ve been using their store brand of Dayquil & Nyquil softgels and their brand of Carmex cuz I can’t afford the real stuff. lol

Also, if you get a chance, please check out Charity-Lynn.com. It’s my new blog and I hope you’ll all enjoy reading it as well.
