I Hate My Printer

Tuesday, August 28th, 2007

Ok, I bought a printer, HP series that does the scanner/copier/printer thing. I’ve put in one color cartridge and at least five black ones. I put a brand new black cartridge in last night, did some printing, and now the computer is telling me the black cartridge is low on ink. I only use brand new HP cartridges in my printer. I have never used refurbished cartridges, because I’m only saving a dollar or two and that’s made up for in the shipping costs. I guess it’s time to go to Sam’s Club and get the package of one color and three black cartridges I saw there for about $50. Maybe then I’ll be able to keep some black ink around. Sheesh!

Digital Cameras

Tuesday, August 28th, 2007

I want a digital camera more than anything right now. But I can’t get one. Why? Because I can’t afford it. I was trying to get one on Ebay, but conveniently, no matter how soon the auction ends, someone always outbids me and always raises the bid higher than I can afford to pay. It drives me bananas. And some of the cameras are older models that shouldn’t even be selling for that much money in the first place. Ugh. I’ve never figured out how people can be so stupid as to pay $90 - $100 for an older model of a camera that the NEW model is selling for the same price at Best Buy. DUH people. Me, I’m just wanting a digital camera for ease of posting pictures to my blogs. That’s it. But I can’t get one, and so I guess I’m screwed.

Off Day

Monday, August 27th, 2007

I took a break today. I called in and said I was sick. I am, I have a headache that won’t go away, but I also needed a short break. I used the time to complete an online application for a place that will pay me $10 an hour to handle customer service or technical support calls. Sounds like something I’d be pretty darned good at.

I’m ready to take a nap. I probably should. Right now I’m going through my DVR and getting all the shows watched and deleted so I’ll stop having so little room on the DVR. I suppose I should go take a nap. Talk to you later.

Anniversary

Saturday, August 25th, 2007

My friend’s wedding anniversary is in April. I’m thinking of what I could get her forĀ  anniversary gifts. They’ve been married 12 years this coming April. I’m considering making a gift myself or having it made. Probably something crocheted like an afghan or cross stitched, but I’m not sure what. Cross stitch patterns for things like 25th and 50th anniversaries are easy to find, 12th, not so much. Of course, my friend is still bugging me for a wedding present that I’d almost had finished (an afghan that I’d crocheted for them) and then one of my cats completely destroyed. So whatever I give them will end up as a combination late wedding/anniversary gift for next year. Hmmm, I’ve got to give that some thought.
