Bone Scan Complete

Tuesday, July 31st, 2007

After spending four hours at the hospital, being stuck twice to get the dye in my veins, and a couple of very uncomfortable positions to lay in, the bone scan is complete. I entered Mercy Medical Center at 7:30 AM and arrived home at 11:35 AM. Three hours of that was spent reading Maggie Shane’s Blue Twilight and trying not to go insane from boredom and the constant need to pee. When you’re give radioactive dye, they like you to drink a lot and pee a lot to flush the excess dye from your system.

After I got home, I called LaShawn to see if she and her mom would be interested in going out for lunch. They were, so they came and got me, and we went to Perkins. I had a Chef Deluxe salad, half of which is in my fridge, and a slice of peanut butter silk pie. Yummy! Then we hit Family Dollar because I had a couple of things I needed to get. I ended up coming out with what I needed plus a bunch of tealight candles. I love candles. LOL
Tonight I have a Mary Kay Success Night. We’re working from the Color Insider Book & DVD set, which is really awesome. I can’t wait to go, even though I’m tired and my arm aches from the unsuccessful attempt to inject the dye there.

Also, I’m opening a new blog at Basically Geeky. Feel free to check it out, even though there’s nothing there except a WordPress installation. I’m working on it though, so do stop by if you feel the urge. I’d appreciate it, that’s for certain.  With that, I’m off to work on Basically Geeky. Talk to you later!

New Theme

Monday, July 30th, 2007

Well, I finally completed the new theme. I ended up having to go with something I didn’t want, because no matter what I did, I couldn’t get the sidebars to work on the original design. Go figure.

In any case, tomorrow is my bone scan. I’m not particularly wanting to go in for said bone scan. My foot isn’t hurting quite as much today, but that doesn’t mean anything. It took 3 days of being off my foot for it to stop hurting, and it was starting to ache a bit when I got done taking my dog outside to go potty. And that was just around the block. *sigh*

I closed up a couple of my sites. I got rid of Gothika Plugs, which I’d never actually put up again after I moved this site, I got rid of the CasketCrew.com fanlisting because all the submissions were spam, and I got rid of Cerulean Listings, because the majority of the links were mine. I didn’t see the point in attempting to keep the site up. I am however thinking of starting a whole new blog site from scratch, and seeing what I can do with it to get good PR & Alexa Scores. Now I’m not sure what I want for a domain name, which is why I haven’t done it yet, but I am considering it. Just to see if I can get good scores on the next updates.

There’s an article about 101 Steps to Becoming a Better Blogger that I found interesting. I would like to apply these steps to a brand new blog to see what happens. I prefer not to use Gothic-Peach.Net or any of my other established blogs simply because I want to see what happens with a brand spanking new blog. I suppose I probably could use this blog, since it is established already, but the thing is, I’m trying to see if I can become better with a new blog. I don’t want to make changes to this one and end up not liking this blog anymore.

In any case, I will figure out what I want to do soon. Talk to you later!

Relief….Please

Sunday, July 29th, 2007

I’m in pain. That’s the only way to describe it. I had to go looking for my dog. He took off when I went outside with him to go potty. Now my foot is killing me. I am seriously hoping this bone scan will tell them what is wrong with this foot. I’m ready to cry at this very moment.

I’ve already taken a Darvocet about an hour ago. I can’t have another one until about 11PM. That really, really sucks. You have no idea how badly that sucks. If you’re curious as to the type of pain, think of something that just throbs and aches. Constantly. No matter what you do with it. THAT is what my foot feels like. All. The. Time. *sigh*

My honey won the Allstate Brickyard 400! Go Tony! Woohoo! Sorry, I had to put that there. I love my Tony Stewart! I do, I do!

I am going to work on a new theme for this site. I’m thinking, not positive, but thinking that I’ll take down the other themes and have just that one theme. I’m not entirely sure just yet. But I am thinking of it. We shall see.

Well, I am off to play with that theme I’m wanting to put together. Talk to all of you later.

Online Auto Insurance Quotes

Friday, July 27th, 2007

I have a friend who changes auto insurance companies like she changes her clothes. Every time I turn around, she’s with another company. She is constantly trying to find a better insurance company or a cheaper insurance company. It drives me crazy, especially since she has a good driving record. It’s not like she needs Poor Driver Auto Insurance Rates. She’s only had one accident and that was listed as not being her fault due to her being rear-ended and it being a hit and run. So I can’t figure out why she keeps changing.

Myself, I would love to be able to get a decent rate on Automobile Insurance Policies like she does. Of course, they take your credit into account, and so I usually end up getting a rather icky deal, but I’d be willing to bet I could probably get something better if I used the internet to search for a quote or two. Truthfully, I’m not sure why I’ve never tried getting an online quote for auto insurance. Just never occurred to me to try I suppose.

I do know that my friend does go for Insurance Quotes Online, because that’s how she got her last policy. What do you think of getting insurance quotes online? Do you think it’s a good thing, or a bad thing? Personally, I think it can be a very good thing, because you can get your quote and buy your policy without ever leaving home. So for those of us, like me, who sleep or work during the normal hours an insurance agent would be open, we can get our quotes, buy our policies and go from there. That works for me, how about you?
