If there’s one thing I can’t stand, it’s doing the dishes. I hate it. I really do. But this group I joined called FlyLady says you can do anything for 15 minutes. So I set the timer on my microwave for 15 minutes and got down to scrubbing. I got a little under halfway finished with the dishes, and put a load into the sink to soak for a while. I’ll head out to the kitchen to do them in a little while.
I applied to start schooling for Health Information Technology at Penn Foster College, but now they’re saying that I owe them for another program I took. I’ve never registered at Penn Foster College before, and when I called them to inquire about it, they said I took a Web Page Design program in 2002. Ok, considering I’m self taught in HTML and wouldn’t need a course like that, I don’t see why I would have taken it. So now I have to get a copy of my driver’s license, social security card, and a notarized letter stating that I have not enrolled for that course and send it to them. Then they’ll decide if I enrolled in it or not. But until then, they’ll be applying the payments that should be going towards the program I ASKED for to the one they say I owe on. Â
Hello? Shouldn’t you be waiting until I finish disputing this to take my money from me without me getting anything in return? DUH!
I asked about just cancelling the enrollment agreement for the new program and forgetting it, and they said they can’t, as long as their records show I have a financial obligation to them, they will use the information I provided for the program I asked to take to receive payment for the previous program. But, they say that as soon as that old program is paid off (which conveniently, they couldn’t tell me how much I supposedly owe them) the payments will switch to the one I wanted to take and they’ll start sending me my books and stuff. But they can’t tell me how long it will take to pay it off at $39 a month, and they can’t tell me how much in total I owe. Plus, if I use the automated system to get my balance, it’s for the course I’m trying to take!
I’m seriously thinking of just going ahead, finding out from Western Iowa Tech how much I owe them, paying them, and then signing up for a program there and taking one or two classes at a time until I can get financial aid (I was on academic probation because THEY didn’t process my drop-out form until AFTER the cut off date even though I submitted it a week BEFORE the cut-off date, so they failed me in all my classes). Then I’ll take whatever I can get. LOL
Ok, I’m off. And yes, you’ll probably be seeing another paid post here in a few minutes.
Ciao!Â
