I LOVE My BlockBuster Account

Wednesday, March 28th, 2007

Ok, I can’t stand it anymore. I HAVE to blog about this. I’ve had Netflix twice, but for some reason, I never really kept the service going. Then I found Blockbuster Online. I figured it was just Netflix with the Blockbuster name. Boy was I wrong!

First off, the pricing plans are the same as Netflix. So there isn’t much difference there. But here’s the kicker….. you can get TWICE as many movies with Blockbuster Online. How? Easy, take your online rental back to the store and pick out a DVD for FREE! So you get twice the movies as Netflix for the same amount of money. Plus you get e-coupons that are good both online and at the store for free game and movie rentals. What could be better? Not much.

I’ve already had 6 discs sent to me and the next 3 are on their way as well. I’ve exchanged every one of my online rentals for a rental at the store. Why not? Free Rentals ROCK! )

And Blockbuster Online has it all….fitness videos, movies, games, TV series on DVD, wrestling, sports, etc. I seriously recommend you give it a try. )

I thought about my mom the other day, and I was thinking how glad I was that she never needed assisted living. If she had, I’m not sure what I’d have done. Too bad I didn’t live in New York, I’d have used the internet to find assisted living in New York City. I miss my mom terribly, but truly, when she was alive, searching the ‘net for assisted living places was impossible where we lived. I’m just glad I never had to do it.

Ciao!

Horrible Movie

Tuesday, March 27th, 2007

I watched a really bad movie the other night. Well, I guess it wasn’t so bad, but I didn’t care for it at all, and I definitely won’t be adding it to my personal collection. That would be “The Descent.”

I guess I’m picky when it comes to horror movies, but that just wasn’t as good as I thought it would be. Good thing I rented it. LOL At least that way I wasn’t stuck with it when I was finished with it!

Now we watched “The Lady in the Water” and “Silent Hill” last night and those movies were good. “The Lady in the Water” was a bit on the boring side at first, but it got better as the movie went on. Not one I’d add to my personal collection, but a good movie all the same. “Silent Hill” was awesome! I loved that movie.

I got a few movies this weekend: Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man’s Chest, Underworld: Evolution, x3: The Last Stand, Saw, See No Evil, Silent Hill, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride. I need to contact Columbia House about the last 5 though, because they came with a bill and I’d prepaid for those DVDs!

On another note, I’m planning a trip in 2008 to see my cousin in California. I wonder if she’d take me down to southern California for some Beverly Hills plastic surgery. I’m thinking I need a few things done. Nah, just kidding. I like me. LOL But you never know. Maybe I won’t next year. LOL

Well, I suppose I’d better go. I have to get a shower taken and eat breakfast before I go to work. Ciao!
