Six Down, One To Go!!

Thursday, August 31st, 2006

Finally! I have one day left before I get a three day weekend! And my seven day stretch will be complete! AND I’ll get my overtime pay! WooHoo! LOL I’m such a dork. )

I fixed the problem with comments page on the Crystalized theme. The code for the spam protection hadn’t been added to the page, so it kept telling people that they needed to fill in the spam protection, but the code wasn’t in place so they couldn’t see where to add it! Sorry about that!

So what does everyone have planned for this weekend? Me? Nothing. I’m gonna make a couple of no-sew curtains and clean my apartment. That’s about it. Nothing fancy planned. I might see about hangin’ out with LaShawn and her parents on Sunday, since that’s her mom’s birthday. I’ve been friends with LaShawn so long, I call her mom “Mom” which is cool, since LaShawn’s parents are the only parents I have left. LOL

It’s funny how single people in crappy little efficiency apartments eat. For instance, I’m currently eating mac & cheese with cut-up hot dogs in it. LOL Oh well. Nothing wrong with that I guess. LOL

I do MyPoints, and I had enough points to get four $10 gift cards to Wal-Mart. I can still get 2 more cards if I want to, but I’m not sure if I do or not. I’m thinkin’ those could be grocery cards. LOL Take those cards and get me some groceries that don’t come out of my paycheck! Woohoo! Then I can spend some money somewhere else, like my favorite needleshop! LOL

I suppose I’d better get going. Talk to you later!

Two Down, Five To Go

Monday, August 28th, 2006

Two days down. Five more to go. I’m hoping I don’t fall over dead before the end of the week. I’d really like to get the overtime. LOL

It rained tonight, and I had to walk home in it. I came in the door soaked. I hate being wet. It’s just not a feeling I like. Bleh.

Not much to say, just wanted to continue the countdown. LOL Talk to you later.

One Down, Six To Go

Saturday, August 26th, 2006

I’m on a seven day stretch at work. I’ve completed one day, and now I just have six more to go. By this Friday, I guarantee, no one will want to talk to me. I’m going to be short tempered, tired, and my feet are going to hurt like nothing else.

I need to make a doctor’s appointment. My heartburn is getting out of control again, and I need to see about getting in to see a podiatrist again. I hate to go to the doctor for anything, but the heartburn is driving me nuts, and I really need to see about what can be done to make it easier on my feet. Besides losing weight.

That’s another thing I need to discuss with my doctor. My weight. I’m sick of weighing this much. I want to lose weight. But my biggest problem is, I’ve been on diets, I’ve followed them to the letter, I’ve eaten only healthy, low fat foods, I’ve exercised, and it doesn’t do me any good. I only lose 10 pounds at the most and then I’m done. So I’m going to see if the doctor has any suggestions. And I’m hoping he doesn’t suggest that gastric bypass surgery. I hate having surgery! LOL

Anyways. I guess I’ll go for now. Talk to you later.

Picnics…Picnics…..Picnics!

Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006

Ok, last Sunday we had a picnic at work for my department. Allow me to explain why it was only my department. Back in December, before I started there, they had a Christmas Tree Decorating Contest. The prize was $300 for the department to have a party on. Well, the night shift housekeepers decorated a tree to look like a housekeeper. So the night shift (my shift) won. So we got the $300 but we to include everyone in the department. No problem. So they decide we’re going to wait until summer and have a picnic with the money. Ok. Whatever. So we have this picnic, and most of the people who signed up didn’t show up. Go figure.

So Monday, my supervisor says we have so much stuff that didn’t get used for the picnic, and let’s have a potluck picnic to get rid of the stuff. So we had a potluck picnic last night. More hamburgers, more hotdogs, more bratwursts. It was pretty good. But it sucked because we only had 30 minutes to eat and talk before we had to go back to work.

Finally, there is the company picnic, which is on Sept 16. And my supervisor is trying to get as many of us to go as are willing to go. Myself, I’d rather not go, because I don’t have a car and I don’t have a way out to the park it’s at. If my best friend and her mom were going (her mom works at the hospital too) I’d go, but I don’t think they are. Besides, the only really fun thing to do there is play Bingo, they usually have some awesome prizes!

I found another theme I like the look of, I just have to customize it to suit my tastes/needs and I’ll add it as a skin.

Guess I’d better go. I have to eat and get ready for work. Bleh.
